How did we do?

  • “What a beautiful experience at WBC. From the moment you walk in, you feel the calm, nurturing environment this birth centre has about it. The delivery suites are a very generous size to be able to walk around and labor in and doesn't give that hospital feel. Once pēpi is here you're taken to the beautiful postnatal rooms. The midwifes and staff at WBC are absolutely lovely, attentive, caring and make you feel very welcomed, relaxed and looked after during your stay. I was also lucky enough to meet the lovely Tracey (owner) before leaving who sent me off with some reassuring words/advice about my little pēpi helping calm my nerves before we made our journey home. Thank you very much to Tracey and all at WBC for your amazing care and what you do for the Māmā, pēpi & whānau that come through. It was just the most beautiful, calm, relaxed birth experience/stay I have had."

  • “Kia Ora! Just wanted to message to say how much we loved our stay! On the 5th of June at 11am we welcome our new baby boy at Waterford. We absolutely loved our stay! 3 years ago we had our baby girl and stayed with you and loved our stay then too. The new renovations are absolutely beautiful, the rooms are so gorgeous and calming. The facilities were so clean and well looked after, meals were lovely and the midwives and staff were just amazing! I felt so supported and cared for. During pēpi’s birth we had my midwife, Lara and the support of Sarah who were both amazing, they were calming and exactly what I needed. I will forever be grateful for them! So thank you I feel so lucky to have been able to give birth and stay at Waterford again. Ngā mihi.

  • “We were lucky enough to be able to stay at Waterford after our hospital birth. It was such a great environment to be in and gave us the restart we needed before we went home. The midwives were all amazing and Tracey was absolutely wonderful she made sure that we were well looked after and had everything we needed. Would recommend Waterford to everyone who wants a few days to settle down with a newborn and have the support of a midwife on call. It was very nice getting three amazing meals a day and having a big spacious room to relax in."

  • Such friendly and professional staff. provided consistent and relevant advice at all hours of the day and night. each midwife established great rapport and checked in on progress. coming to Waterford from the hospital was such a refreshing vibe - like we were checking into a hotel on holiday. Can't forget to mention the food is outstanding!

  • I just wanted to say thank you so much for looking after Ziggy, Clive and I for the past few days and nights. We have been showered with so much love and support and couldn’t have asked for a nicer experience and a better start to parenthood. Thank you to the team at Waterford, we definitely will be recommending a stay as a great start for a new family and Mum into motherhood.

  • My husband and I and our new bub, Harry, stayed at Waterford after an elective c section from 22nd - 24th of January 2023. Apologies for how long this has taken me to send! After a pretty horrendous second night at the hospital coming to Waterford was an incredible experience. Baby brain is in full force so I cant remember everyone’s names, but every single midwife and staff member we had an interaction with during our stay was amazing. Thank you so much to Alys and Katrina, who spent hours with us in the middle of the night making sure that Harry was latching correctly and feeding well. We would have been lost without them. Alys also supported us in sorting out Harry’s tongue tie. Her kindness and genuine desire to help families is so clear. Pregnancy hormones had me crying happy tears after she helped us. Sarah and Eden (I hope I am remembering their names correctly!) were so helpful during the day. It was beautiful to see that the student midwives such as Eden are so proficient and clearly passionate and knowledgeable about what they do.
