Welcome to
Waterford Birth Centre

Whare Whakawhānau Pēpi

Kia ora. Congratulations on your pregnancy.
Waterford offers a safe nurturing centre at this
special time for you and your family/whanau.

As of 14th May we are in Level 2. Two support persons are now permitted for labour & birth.
One nominated person may stay postnatally and may come & go to pick up food.

To minimize exposure to COVID-19 coronavirus disease, there is a maximum of two visitors per postnatal room per day to allow for adequate 2m physical distancing in the space we have, as per the Level 2 recommendations.

The front door will remain locked at all times. Visiting hours will be 10-12 and 3-5.30 Monday to Friday, and 10-12 Saturday and Sunday. Client feedback has revealed that couples have really appreciated the quiet time as a new family, so we will trial these new hours.

All visitors to please sign in & out at the front desk, answer the Covid-19 questions & use hand gel on entry.

Meals may be purchased from Lonestar at $22 each from the Waterford menu, or bring ready to eat food. You will need to bring your own breakfast.

Please stay at home if you are unwell & seek medical advice.

For further information go to the New Zealand Ministry of Health website – https://www.health.health.govt.nz

Tours of Waterford will recommence under Level 1 – keeping 2m distancing.

Tour our facilities

You are very welcome to visit, and we’d love to meet you on one of our weekly tours, see our FAQ’s.

Our facilities are described below by Tegan and Isaac –

“The birthing room was so relaxing, great space and facilities. After birth the room we stayed in was so nice,
big and quiet with comfy beds and couches and a great little kitchen area”.
