Breastfeeding help and support La Leche League is an international support system, set up in the 1950's to help women who wanted to successfully breastfeed their babies. It is a mother-to-mother support system with monthly meetings which discuss different aspects of breastfeeding and parenting. Trained volunteer breastfeeding counsellors (called leaders) are also available for 1-to-1 phone or personal help.
